She was deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg regional branch of the party "Democratic Choice of Russia", secretary of the St. Petersburg association "Civil Union". Later - Regional Director of Open Russia
In May 2005, she was among the signatories of an appeal to create the United Civil Front (leader - Garry Kasparov). She headed the St. Petersburg branch of this organization and entered the federal bureau of the organization. Member of the Other Russia coalition, which included Garry Kasparov's UHF, Eduard Limonov's NBL, Mikhail Kasyanov's RNDS, Sergey Udaltsov's Left Front.
The organizer of most protest actions in St. Petersburg from 2001 to 2013, including the Marches of Dissent, the Marches of Millions, and the protests of 2011-2012.

Since 2008, she was a member of the organizing committee for the creation of the Solidarity movement, after its creation she joined the Bureau of the Federal Political Council of the movement.
