The Peace Summit in Switzerland brought a number of strategic long-term issues to the public agenda. The most important of them, of course, is how to get Putin to end the war. It is paradoxical that the summit, which was organized specifically to discuss this very topic in the widest possible circle of world leaders and international organizations, in the sake of maximizing turnout, ended up omitting this very issue and postponing it for later.

INTERNATIONAL POLICY DIGEST has published an article by Ilya Ponomarev, a member of the Executive Council of the Congress of People's Deputies, which calls for the creation of a coalition of democratic forces called the "Coalition of the Determined," healthy forces on the side of progress and true freedom in the countries of the new "axis of evil" - Russia, China, and Iran. At the "UK and Global Security" conference in London, attended by a delegation from the Congress of People's Deputies, Alexander Osovtsov, a member of the Executive Council of the Congress, emphasized in his speech that World War Three has already begun for the enemies of the West, and we are all participating in it.
According to an article published by THE SUN, Osovtsov highlighted that the world can no longer ignore the fact that both the war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict are "two pieces of one war."

Ilya Azar, a well-known Russian journalist who has worked on projects such as Lenta.ru and Meduza, published a lengthy interview on his blog on the Wilson Center website with one of the leaders of the Russian anti-Putin opposition, member of the Executive Council of the Congress of People's Deputies, Ilya Ponomarev. In the article titled "Adventurer, Entrepreneur, Trickster," the author, with his characteristic "teasing" and apparently his own point of view on both the personality of the interviewee and the goals and methods of his struggle, still reveals many aspects of the activities of both Ilya Ponomarev himself and the entire Congress of People's Deputies project.

The event, organized by the Ukrainian Gromada of Wellington, was attended by the delegate of the Congress of People's Deputies and a member of the anti-war community in New Zealand (Russian Speaking Integrity Alliance NZ), Ilya Mezentsev.

The Christian Science Monitor: Ilya Ponomarev’s life changed forever in March 2014, when he became the sole member of the Duma – Russia’s lower house of parliament – to vote “no” on the annexation of Crimea.
Mr. Ponomarev was also a key founder of something called the Congress of People’s Deputies – a kind of Russian parliament-in-exile composed of opposition leaders and other former Duma members. The 93-member body held its first meeting last November outside Warsaw.
